Lino print workshop

  • &hobbs The forge Middle street Shere UK (map)

Linocut is becoming increasingly popular as a printmaking technique and can take on many pictorial forms from bold dynamic imagery to subtle delicate hues.
Set in a friendly atmosphere, this workshop will take a close look at the technique and offer participants the opportunity to create their own linocut. The course is suitable for beginners as well as more experienced artists.

Working on on A5 piece of lino each participant will:

  • make a single colour linocut

  • learn how to mix up inks

  •  work with linocut tools and equipment to create their own original design to take home.

As well as the workshop Richenda will also give an insight into her printmaking practice and how her recently published book, ‘Ocean Swell’, was created. The book ,with nearly 100 of her original line drawings, has inspired her to make large linocut prints from the drawings which will soon be exhibited in the UK.
Signed copies of the book will be available on the day.

For the workshop please bring along an apron, all tools and materials will be provided.

We have a minimum of two people for the course to run. All information will be sent to you two days before the workshop is due to take place. If any classes are canceled a full refund will be revived. If you are un able to make a class, please let us know two days before. Any cancelations made after this will regrettably not be refunded. Thank you so much for booking with us and we can not wait for the class to begin!
